December Lake Lanier Fishing Report
|
November was a frustrating month on the lake. The fish had not really gotten into their fall pattern, but with the past few fronts and the cold weather, the fishing should pick up. The lake temperatures are in the low 50's which has finally pushed the bait to the middle and the backs of the creeks. Recent mornings have been a lot of fun with the fish blowing up on the flat lines and the planer boards rigged with medium to large trout. As the day progresses, we are chasing fish with the umbrella rigs and dropping small trout or large shiners to concentrated groups of fish. Casting Captain Mack's Jigs with fluke trailers to rolling fish will also work.
